Light
Yellow Green Leaves
Taken in the churchyard of St. Nicholas in Aberdeen, this image emphasises the colour in the autumnal leaves and that of a window frame behind. The image depicts the contrast between the transient beauty of the leaves and grim permanence of stone. It suggests that surprising beauty can sometimes be found in the gloomiest of places - provided one is prepared to seek it out.
The photograph was taken during the Autumn of 2004
