A Personal Perspective
In most cases, I have provided a text that hints at my own feelings when making the images on this website.
Pressing the shutter release is just one step in a process and I firmly believe that good images are made in the mind, not the camera. Some of the images here are pretty much as they came out of the camera and some have been mainpulated in the darkroom or on the computer. For me, how an image was made is irrelevent - the only thing that matters is the end result.
As in any artistic process I find there is a serendipitous element and sometimes things evolve that were not planned. On very rare occasions I just happen to be in the right place at the right time and the image is all laid out in front of me, ready for the taking.
A permanent exhibition of my work is on display at Willows Animal Sanctuary - http://www.willowsanimals.com
